Walter Gaskin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Gaskin of Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Boyd Gaskin and Bessie Lucille Brannon Gaskin; his wife Barbara Gaskin; his siblings, Roy Gaskin, Oscar Smyrl Gaskin, Boyd Gaskin and Sarah Gaskin; his brother-in-law James "Buck" Byrd; and his nephew Mark Byrd.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Oswald (Jimmy) and Renee Taylor (Ken); his grandchildren, Jamie Oswald (Lacey) and Allen Oswald; his great grandchildren, Hunter and Graysen Oswald; his brother John Lewis Gaskin; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Byrd (Emma) and Rhoda Byrd. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
