We bid farewell to Woody Wilson of Lancaster, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 26, 2025 at the age of 81. Woody touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel John Wilson and Guy Rea Horton Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Wyke Wilson; his daughter Carrie Threatt (Scott); his stepchildren, Angie Young (David) of Granite Falls, NC, Stacey Hill of Hendersonville, NC and Chris Hill of Granite Falls, NC; and his brothers, Reggie Wilson (Delene) and Randy Wilson (Teri). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Taylors Grove Baptist Church (2382 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Taylors Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or Senior Ministry, 2382 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.
