He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyatt Blackmon Sr. and Corene Alexander Blackmon; and his siblings, Curtis Blackmon, Jetty Blackmon and Betty Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Alexander Blackmon of Lancaster, SC; his children, Wyatt Blackmon of Houston, Terrance Blackmon (Kristina) of Santa Clara, CA, Vaughn Blackmon (Crystal) of Columbia, SC, Janell Jones of Lancaster, SC, Caprice Kennedy (Robert) of Charlotte, NC and Shonda Cook (John) of Atlanta, GA; his sisters, Virginia Brown of Lancaster, SC, Maggie McCain of Lancaster, SC and Chero Mompshie of Charlotte, NC; and his granddaughters, Ronesha McMullen, Katrese Blackmon and Deja Hinson. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
