He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Burgess and Nellie Pritchard Solesbee; his sister Jeanette Wofford; his niece Patricia Hamilton; and his great-niece Allie Silver.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Davis Atchison Solesbee; his siblings, Randy Solesbee (Gail) of Boiling Spring, SC, Juanita Hamilton of Mill Spring, NC and Barbara Siegfried of Landrum, SC; his stepsons, Glenn Atchison (Claire) of Pensacola, FL and Jeffery Atchison of Mill Spring, NC; and his aunts, Inez Golden of Moore, SC and Irene Settle of Landrum, SC. He is also survived by three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
