He is survived by: his wife Patricia Tucker Smith; his daughter Kelley Smith Cash (Kelly) of Landrum, SC; his children-in-law, Lynn Gilliam Smith of Inman, SC and Jimmy Newman (Shannon) of Tryon, NC; his grandchildren, Michael Duane Smith Jr. (Monica) of Spartanburg, SC, Christopher James Smith (Nicole) of Inman, SC, Brian Russell Cash (Raegan Geyer) of Greenville, SC, Andrew Smith Cash of Clemson, SC. and Sarah Cash Tate (Cory) of Westminster, SC; his great grandchild Michaela Paige Smith of Spartanburg, SC.; and his brothers, Dean Smith (Linda) of Boiling Springs, SC and Allen Smith (Nancy) of Taylors, SC..
