He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Maynard Roach; his children, Kim Johnson of Landrum, SC, Mark Anthony Roach of Arizona, Christopher Wayne Weeks of Bostic, NC, Mary Eugenia Roach of Forest City, NC and James Michael Roach of Cherryville, NC; and his siblings, Margaret Shelton of Rutherfordton, NC, Janet Reid of Rutherfordton, NC and Leon Roach (Linda) of Rutherfordton, NC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory (249 S Main St, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel (249 S Main St, Rutherfordton, NC 28139).
