He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Alman; his parents, Joe Earl Brown, Sr. and Lucile Harmon Brown; and his daughter Nita Jo Brown. He is survived by: his son Joe Earl Brown III; his daughter-in-law Glenna Brown; his daughter Jody Brown Raines; his son-in-law Jerry Raines; his grandchildren, Maggie Raines Chappell (Jamie), Benjamin Thomas Raines, Joe Earl "Jay" Brown IV, Sydnie Brown (James), Joanna Raines Latham (Trevor) and Alexandra Hollings Sanders (James); and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Dodge Chappell, Louise Saye Chappell and Parker Alexander Kuck (Shelby).
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Petty Funeral Home (124 S 562, Landrum, SC 29356). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Petty Funeral Home Chapel (124 S 562, Landrum, SC 29356).
