We are sad to announce that on September 15, 2025, at the age of 84, Arminta Lee Dowdy of Langley, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lee Hollowell, Jr. and Dorothy Neil Minor; and her brother Johnny Hollowell III. She is survived by: her husband W. Earl Dowdy, Jr.; her children, Deanna Ragsdale (Troy) and Robert Dowdy; her siblings, Iris Taylor and Bobby Hollowell (Ann); her sister-in-law Pat Hollowell; her grandchildren, Mackenzie Rowland, Alexis Cail, Gabby Dowdy, Noah Dowdy, Katy Calhoun and Charlotte Calhoun; and her great grandchild Aiden James Rowland.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fort Mill Church of God (221 Academy St, Fort Mill, SC 29715). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at the Crown Memorial Cemetery (9620 Rodney St, Pineville, NC 28134).
