We announce the death of Ivor Thayer Jr. (Langley, South Carolina), who passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 71. Ivor will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivor Thayer and Betty Marie Bowler. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Thayer; his children, Jeremiah Thayer (Adora) and Uriah Thayer (Sarah); his grandchildren, Emily Thayer, Emersyn Thayer, Tytus Thayer, Luke Thayer, Whitaker Thayer and Maven Thayer; and his sisters, Judy DeFore (Ed), Betty Handrich and Linda LaTourneau.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a cause dear to Ivor's heart, the Maranatha Baptist Church Mission Fund.
