He is survived by : his wife Pat; his children, Natalie Gerald of Latta and Malcolm "Mac" Gerald, Jr. (Candy) of Holly Hill, SC.; his grandchildren, Alea Cook, Elex Cook, Jonathan Gerald of Italy, Gunnar, Anthony, Avery Gerald of Holly Hill and Osiris Solis; his niece Tammy Mullinax (Hans) of Latta; his nephew John Gerald; and his pet Sugar.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Latta Police Department, and the Latta Rescue Squad.
