She was predeceased by: her parents, William Albert Bailey and Mary Brigman Bailey; her husband Rufus Maxie Gardner "Highpockets"; her son Richard Maxie Gardner (Jackie); her son-in-law Lavern Brigman; and her siblings, Julius, Mitchell Bailey, Naomie Sanderson (R. C.) and Sarah McKnight (Wayne).
She is survived by: her children, Mitchell Gardner (Judy) and Pam Brigman (late Lavern); her grandchildren, Chris Gardner Tony (Felicia), Caroline Mishoe (Derek) of Apex, N. C. and Dallas Sandoval (Eddy) of Mebane, N. C.; her great grandchildren, Aaron Gardner, Kendall Bryant (Kyrston), Jackson Gardner, Maverick Gardner, Colson Hill, Leo Sandoval, Lorelai Mishoe, Britton Mishoe and Sebastian Mishoe; and her great great grandchild Myles Bryant.
