She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Carlisle Bethea and Lavinia Merle Smoak Bethea of Orangeburg, SC.; her spouse Marsden Haigh Cox; and her sisters, Lillian Rembert and Lynda Borden.
She is survived by: her children, Marsden Haigh Cox, Lavinia Merle Cox, Sarah Cox Dickert and Adelaide Cox McMaster; her grandchildren, Kristen Cox, Marty Cox, Leslie Dickert Anderson, Jay Dickert, Lacy Harrison, Will Harrison, Creighton McMaster and Ashleigh McMaster; and her great grandchildren, Emery Lesesne Anderson, Milledge Anderson, Marty Cox, Will Cox and Latta Methodist Church.
