He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Robert Hughes and Sally Worthy Hughes. He is survived by: his daughters, Traci Hughes and Ashley Holcombe (Tim); his grandchildren, Amanda Alvarez (Scott), Josh Hughes, Nick Hughes (Cheley), Alex Hughes, Samantha Altemeyer (Jimmy) and Billy Holcombe (Whitney); his great grandchildren, Emryn Hughes, Logan Altemeyer, Jaxson Altemeyer, Riley Altemeyer and Jonah Altemeyer; and his siblings, Paul Hughes (Ginger) and Mary Jane Hughes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fountain INN Church of God (3597 Abercrombie Rd, Fountain Inn, SC 29644). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
