She was predeceased by: her parents, James Starnes and Audrey Cobb Starnes; her former husband Truman Durham; her husband Louie Hawkins; and her brother Doug Starnes.
She is survived by: her children, Dean Durham (Jenny), Colt Durham (Kelly) and Shannon Smith (Scott); her siblings, Mike Starnes (Robin), Tommy Starnes (Terry) and Lynn Bishop (George); and her sister-in-law Jill McDonald. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Guthrie Grove Church of God (403 Guthrie Grove Church Rd, Pelzer, SC 29669).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 123 W. Antrim Dr., Greenville, SC 29607.
