With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Earnest Johnson (Laurens, South Carolina), who passed away on December 14, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Earnest may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Earnest touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Hunter, Ernest Graham Barksdale (Lashay) and Candace Barksdale; his granddaughter Lily Barksdale; and his brothers, Bobby Joe Johnson, James H. Johnson (Renee) and Willie L. Johnson.
