He was predeceased by: his parents, Denver E. Layne and Dura Hamlin Layne. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Gatch Layne; his brother Fred Layne (Geri); his children, Kathy Lawson (Russell), Denny Layne (Christy) and Vera Kinsey (Johnny); his grandchildren, Morgan Greb (Nick), Anna-Layne Schneider (Brandon), Calli Santifort (Taylor), Bristow Kinsey (Jess), Elliott Layne (Sophie), Mallori Farkas (Jake) and Molly Maxwell (Evan); his great grandchildren, Cooper, Coy Greb, Watson, Emerson, Margaret, Oliver Schneider, Nesta, Hawkins Maxwell and Jack Santifort; and his siblings-in-law, Sara Ruff and Gatch (Kaye).
