With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Iris S. Fennell Owens (Laurens, South Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, A. M. Shumake, Sr. and Jessie Shumake; her former husband Bill Fennell; her grandson Todd Fennell; and her siblings, Myrtle Satterfield, Sybil Barnes, Louise MacDonald, Woodie Davis and A. M. Shumake, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Alton Owens; her children, Steve Fennell (Julia), Debbie Atkins (Tim) and Sheila Fulbright (Allen); and her grandchildren, Owen Fulbright, Trace Fulbright and Marlee Atkins.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rosemont Cemetery (807 Willard Rd, Clinton, SC 29325). Visitation was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 123 W Antrim Dr, Greenville, SC 29607.
