It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Marett Outz (Laurens, South Carolina), who passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marett Larkin Outz and Frances Edwards Outz; his sister Jane Outz Askew; his nephew Joseph Duane Dennie; and his brother-in-law Duane Dennie.
He is survived by: his sister Laura Outz Dennie; and his nieces, Joy Roberson, Julie Askew (Jim), Nancy Knotts (Tony) and Elizabeth Franklin (Kevin). He is also survived by great nieces, nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Westview Memorial Park (5740 US-76, Laurens, SC 29360). Visitation was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coach Duane Dennie Scholarship Fund, Laurens County School District 55, 301 Hillcrest Drive, Laurens, SC 29360.
