She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Waddell Casey and Lecil Venson Casey; her son Hicks Martin Owings; and her siblings, Marie Watkins, Gale Williamson and Roger Lee Casey.

She is survived by: her daughter Lynn Owings of Laurens; and her siblings, Sarah Crocker of Enoree, Lecil "Whitey" Venson Casey, Jr. (Barbara) of Greer and Keith Casey of Enoree. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

“It is with great sadness we hear of Joyce’s passing. Joyce and her brothers and sisters lived next door to us In Enoree and the memories of that childhood bring smiles to our faces even today. Joyce as a young teenager was vibrant and beautiful and we loved riding around with her when she sneaked her Dad’s car! Her children and her family were the light of her life and our sympathy and prayers go out to them at this time. Carole and Irene Kennedy”
