He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxie Leonard Reeder Sr. and Beverly Webb Reeder (Moore); his siblings, Mike, John and Sandra; and his cousin Barry.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Reeder; his son John Michael Reeder; and his foster son Christopher Antonio Olivarez.
Friends and family will gather to honor Maxie's life on a later date, where stories will be shared, tears shed, and his impact celebrated, once remains are returned from his final wishes of donating his body to help educate those in the Piedmont Technical College's Funeral Service Department. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Veterans Assistance and Support Foundation at PO Box 1806 Laurens, SC 29360, in recognition of Maxie's lifelong commitment to supporting Veterans.
