Richard Clayton King Obituary

Rev. Richard "Rick" Clayton King, 78, of Laurens and husband of Diana Roberta Sturdavant King passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at his home.

Born in Greenville, SC he was the son of the late Ansel Alton and Virginia Tumblin King. A Baptist minister, Rick served in the Army National Guard and worked as an officer and narcotics agent with the Greenville Police Department. He also was an auctioneer and formerly owned and operated a printing company. Rick never met a stranger and loved helping people.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Dana Lynn King of Columbia and Amy Michelle Brooks (Charles) of Pelzer and two grandchildren, Timothy Lindley, Jr. and Star Dare Brooks.
