It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Robert E. Owings (Laurens, South Carolina), who passed away at the age of 85, on December 5, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hicks Franklin Owings and Laura Caroline Owings (Bubba); his son Hicks Martin Owings; and his siblings, Luther, Charles, William (Billy), Jim, Dorothy, Sarah Catherine Knight, Estelle Kirby and Elizabeth Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; and his grandchild Lynn. He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery (499 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Laurens, SC 29360).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church Far More Fund.
