He is survived by: his children, Amy Draughn Bates (Evan), Richard Joseph Benya (Lindsey) and Tiffany Lyn Benya; and his siblings, James Draughn (Norma), Lisa Draughn Frohoca (Steve) and Patricia Draughn (Terry Cook). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
