We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2026, at the age of 66, Susan Simmons Chaney of Laurens, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Archie Simmons and Carolyn C. Harris (Simmons); and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Thackston and Grady Thackston. She is survived by: her husband Fred; her children, Jennifer Chaney, Caitlin Chaney and Michael Chaney (Brooke); her grandchildren, Brooklyn Chaney and James Cook; and her brothers, Bruce Simmons (Brenda), Wayne Simmons (Belinda) and Keith Simmons (Angie). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
