He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Fuller Cogsdill; his parents, Euitt William Cogsdill and Gladys Thompson Cogsdill; and his siblings, Fred Cogsdill and Wydette Barker.
He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Cogsdill (Gail) and Carolyn Miller; his caregiver Ashley Brown; and his grandchildren, Jasper "Bird" Brown and Jayda "Bop" Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
