She was predeceased by: her father Charles Howell Atkins; and her son Gary Rice. She is survived by: her mother Vivian Rebecca Jones Atkins; her husband Norman D. Rice; her daughters, Wendy Merriman (Joey) and Christy Timmons (Julius); and her sister Amanda Atkins. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
