He was predeceased by : his parents, Leon Dennis Heyward Sr. and Mary Ellen Heyward; his grandson Jackson Heyward of Lexington, SC; his brothers, Dennis of Samaria, SC, Joey of Samaria, SC and Steve of Samaria, SC; and his in-laws, William Odell and Shelly Gail Wells of Leesville, SC.

He is survived by : his wife Lisa Dell Heyward of Leesville, SC; his children, Randall Lee Heyward Jr., Kimberly Heyward and Samantha Heyward; and his sister Mary Heyward Gunter of Leesville, SC. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law, two, brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
