He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Taylor and Huldah Bouknight Taylor; his wife Bertha Hartley Taylor; his sons, Harold S. Taylor, Jr. and Randy Taylor; his siblings, Archie Taylor, Sr., Travis Taylor, Talmar Taylor, Carlisle Taylor, Hubert Taylor, Janelle Rauch, Eva Lean Smith and Merlyn Watkins; and his close friend Mary Black Lewis.
He is survived by: his son Travis Taylor (Monica); his daughter-in-law Phyliss Taylor; his grandchildren, Selena Taylor (Kevin), Dillon Taylor and R. B. Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Charleston Taylor of Sederis Taylor, D. C and Rayelyn Collins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barr-Price Funeral Home Batesburg-Leesville Chapel (256 Main St, Leesville, SC 29070). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Providence Baptist Church (3708 Pond Branch Rd, Leesville, SC 29070). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery (401 Main St, Gilbert, SC 29054).
