She was predeceased by: her parents, Boice Porth and Mary Alice Barber Porth; and her husband James Marvin Leaphart. She is survived by: her son John Leaphart (Kathryn Fowler); her grandchildren, Ben and Lauren Leaphart; and her siblings, Gene Porth (Joyce), Kay Davis Amick (Dwight), Hazel Duell (Paul) and Catherine Porth (Curry Hook). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church; 1130 St. Peter's Road; Lexington, SC 29072 or Smile Train.
