He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Blackburn and Elizabeth "Cora" Blackburn; and his brother Odell Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jackson Blackburn; his son Dale Blackburn (Cheryl) of Lexington; his granddaughter Chrystal Reed (James); and his great grandchildren, Madison, Kennedy Reed and Doug.
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Hill Memorial Park (1307 W Old Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27295).
