He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Heber and Mary Wright Satcher; the mother of his children Cynthia C. Satcher; his children, Benjamin W. Satcher, Jr., Robert C. Satcher (Kelly) and Mary Lynn "Sissy" Satcher Bynum; his grandchildren, Satcher Bynum Armstrong (Branford), Henry C. Bynum III (Stephanie), Ann-Lanius Bynum Noblitt (Matt), Benjamin Wright Bynum (Lindsey), Sutton Satcher Barrow (Robert), Robert C. Satcher, Jr. and Sarah-Kate Satcher; his great grandchildren, Mary Clarke, William and Oliver Armstrong; and his grandchildren, Abigail, Eliza, Charlotte Bynum, Willow and Naomi Noblitt. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Lexington United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
