She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl L. Hackney (John); her brother Billy Hornsby; her grandchildren, Chad Varn (Cary), Jamie Varn (Lona), Tesha Newton (Barry), Toni Harrison (Thomas), Brian Varn (Angie), Casey Varn (Sabrina), Jessica Thomas (JT), John Hackey Jr. (Patti), Billie Jo Sandlin (Dwayne) and Kit Hackney (Krystal); and her stepchildren, Elaine Hite (Edgar), Greg Hayes (Mary Lee) and Janet Smith (Dave). She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lexington Baptist Church (308 E Main St, Lexington, SC 29072). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
