Betty Jo Mathias Sox Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Mathias Sox in Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxcy Mathias, and F. Tillman Mathias, Sr.; her husband James "Jim" Sox (Day); and her siblings, Catherine Parkman, Francis T. Mathias, Jr., Fred B. Mathias, Sr., Shirley Mathias and Gene "Pete" Mathias.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Miller (Stan) and Denise Kendrick (Dennis); her grandchildren, Jarrell Smith (Jennie), Joel Miller, Carrie Henderson (Jay) and Devin Kendrick (Kristi); her great grandchildren, Maddie, Ethan Miller, Carter, Callie and Hannah Claire Kendrick; and her sister-in-law Patricia Mathias. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Betty Jo Sox to Wellmore of Lexington's Alzheimer's Association.
