It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine J. Gable (Lexington, South Carolina), who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther McCartha and Gladys McCartha; her husband Wayne Gable; her son Donny Amick; and her siblings, Brice McCartha, Margaret Miller and Carolyn Whittle.
She is survived by: her son Carlton Amick; her grandchildren, Tessa Cade, Collin Amick, Cami Amick, Jeremy Amick and Kaylee Reynolds; her great grandchildren, Christopher Cade, Brianna Cade, Alexis Powers, Savannah Amick, Wyatt Amick, Dawson Amick, Kirkley Reynolds and Autumn Reynolds; her great great grandchild Audriana Baston; and her siblings, Howard McCartha, Frank McCartha Jr., Edith Leaphart and Helen Smith.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church (1273 Calks Ferry Rd, Lexington, SC 29073). A burial will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at the St. Matthews Lutheran Church Cemetery (1273 Calks Ferry Rd, Lexington, SC 29073).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
