It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Charlotte Canary Cannon (Lexington, South Carolina), who passed away at the age of 81, on December 13, 2022. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Joseph Canary and Ruth Belle Williamson Canary; her sister Clara; her husband James Walsh Cannon, Jr.; her daughters, Fawn Cannon Papastavrou (Kirk) and Amy Cannon Stokes (Jay); and her grandchildren, Thomas (Lexie), Matthew Papastavrou, Charlotte and Lillie Stokes. She was also cherished by many friends, students, parents.
In lieu of flowers, we would like to support the Colonial Heights community, which our mother helped make magical for so many years. Donations can be made to the new Sullivan Heights Middle School in honor of Charlotte's selfless years of service.
