With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cheryl Ballington McCarthy in Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Ballington, and Oliver Ballington, Sr.; and her brother Rodney Ballington. She is survived by: her husband Phillip McCarthy; her daughters, Leigh Anne Wicker (Johnny) and Amanda Hartley (Travis); her grandchildren, Hailey, Ansley and Austin; her siblings, Deborah Jean Steele (Mel), Audrey Dellinger (Jeff) and Oliver "Butch" Ballington, Jr. (Rita); and her sister-in-law Dana Taylor (Adrian).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church 1273 Calks Ferry Road Lexington, SC 29073.
