She was predeceased by: her parents, Zola Gordia Thompson Wood and Judson Newman (Wood); and her siblings, Joy Wood Tomlinson and James Newman Wood. She is survived by: her daughter Amy Hildreth; her son-in-law Herbert Krabel; her grandsons, Simon and Max Krabel of Columbia, S. C.; her brother-in-law Larry Tomlinson; and her nieces, Dawn T. Sikes and Melissa Wood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
