She was predeceased by: her parents, Larry Austin and Lillian Garrett Austin; and her siblings, Annie Laura Montgomery, Sallie Stroud, Jessie Austin, Will Henry Austin, Larry Austin and James Austin.
She is survived by: her husband Willie Clyde Smith, Jr. of Columbia; and her children, Patricia Smith Butler of Grovetown, Georgia, April Smith Phillips of Charlotte, Theresa Smith of Columbia, Willie C. Smith, III of Irmo and Gerald Smith (Crystal) of Blythewood. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
