He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Sharpe and Otis Sharpe; his brothers, Coleman Sharpe and Otis Sharpe; and his daughter Donna Kay Sharpe.
He is survived by: his wife Gaynell Lucas; his children, Tim Sharpe (Christy), Beverly Purvis and Renee Daggerhart (Sam); his grandchildren, Jessie Schmitt (Thomas), Lauren Sellers (Adam), Justin Purvis (Jessica), Hannah Daggerhart-Evans (Tyler) and Evan Daggerhart (Miranda); his great grandchildren, Harley Sellers, Harper Sellers and Asher Purvis; and his brother Larry Kyzer (Sandra). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel (609 Northwood Rd, Lexington, SC 29072). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
