With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Allen Wood of Lexington, South Carolina, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on December 8, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wood and Clara Wood; and his siblings, Wayne, Kermit and Joan.

He is survived by: his wife June Arrington Wood; his children, Faith Prevatte (Eric) of Lexington, SC, Deborah Wood of Roanoke, VA, David Wood, Jr. (Tamara) of Canton, GA and Jonathan Wood (Jennifer) of Trenton, GA; his siblings, Fred Wood (Becky) of Charlotte, NC, Sam Wood (Debbie) of Lexington, KY, Mary Tustin (Tom) of Staunton, VA and Diana Wood (Ronnie) of Lexington, SC; and his grandchildren, Paul, Rachel, Sylvia, Caleb, Leah, Ashlee, Elijah, David III, Simon, Jonathan and Jayda. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Operation Go International.
