It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lawson Mathis (Lexington, South Carolina), who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Mathis and Mary Francis Summer Mathis; and his son Jonathan Mathis. He is survived by: his wife Sherron Mathis; his son Steven Mathis; his daughter-in-law Heather Mathis; and his grandchildren, Lawson, Landon and Anna Kate Mathis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lexington Baptist Church, 308 East Main Street Lexington, SC or a charity of one's choice.
