He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Schirato and Ann Schirato. He is survived by: his wife Ginny; and his children, Paul Schirato (Joanne) and Dawn Murray (Robert). He is also survived by five grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials be made to their local food bank.
