Tompkins of Lexington, South Carolina, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Tompkins; his parents, John and Dorothy of Cleveland Ohio; and his sister Lois Meyers. He is survived by: his son Jay Tompkins; his daughter-in-law Linda; his grandson Jayson; his daughter-in-law Lindsay; and his granddaughters, Melinda (Hoyt Rowell), Elsie and Isabelle Tompkins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lexington Baptist Church (308 E Main St, Lexington, SC 29072). A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
