He was predeceased by: his parents, F. Harold Haltiwanger and Kincey Lee Haltiwanger; his in-laws, Ray and Pearle Dunbar; his siblings-in-law, Allan Williams, Vernon Proctor, Ted Derrick, Phil Roland, Cook Addy and Elaine Addy; and his great-niece Destiny Derrick.
He is survived by: his wife Pearline "Tina" Dunbar Haltiwanger; his sons, Eric Benjamin and Jacob Rayburn Haltiwanger; his siblings, JoAnn Gunter, Brenda Williams, Wanda Barefoot (Gene), Nancy Brooks (Norman) and Paul Haltiwanger (Teresa); and his siblings-in-law, Dr. Elton Dunbar (Wanda), Linda Lucas (Freddie) and Laura Roland. He is also survived by 8 nephews and 13 nieces.
