He was predeceased by: his father Norman Henson Perry; his former wife Joyce Weaver Perry; his father James Doris Poston; his siblings, Tracey Perry, J. D. "Bubba" Poston, Jr. and Rachel Poston; and his friends, Carroll Filyaw and Barbara Gibbs.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Perry; his children, Joey Perry (Dana) of Florence, SC, Carla Perry (Keith Jeffords) of Evergreen, SC, Angie Rodgers (Jason) of Effingham, SC and Jada Still (Trey) of Springfield, SC; his siblings, Robbie Perry (Lynn) of Pamplico, SC, Katie Haynes (Randy) of Pamplico, SC, Mike Poston (Terry) of Conway, SC, David Poston (Marie) of Pamplico, SC and Jowendel Watson (Pat) of Pamplico, SC; his sister-in-law Sylvia Perry Porter (Neil) of Johnsonville, SC; and his close friends, Barbara Floyd, Carroll Baggett, Bobbie Bazen and Carroll Weaver. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
