She was predeceased by: her parents, Miriam Best and DeBernia Hooper Alston; her husband Frederick Witt; and her brother William "Boo" Alston. She is survived by: her children, Frederick E. Witt, Jr. and Karen Kaye Witt (Gregg); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Blankenship (Gary), Evan Witt (Destiny) and Mariesa Witt; her great grandchildren, Tre and Jaxon; and her brother James Alston (Janet). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
