He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Zalewski and Gladys (Mittan); his grandchild Ryan Onorato; and his siblings, Virgil Zalewski, Roger, Fay Potter and Lois Ream (Potter).

He is survived by : his stepfather Ralph Potter; his children, Jeffrey Zalewski (Sterling) and JoAnn Onorato (Vincent); his grandchildren, Jessica Davis (Michael), Allison McFarlin (Josh), Courtney Skaggs (Josh), Jason Onorato (Demeka), Lee Capotosti (Cameron) and Simmons Capotosti; and his great grandchildren, Trace, Banks, Riggs Davis, Tate, Elizabeth McFarlin, Silas, Lindy, Evie Skaggs, Sky Onorato, Derek, Lexi Williams and Ray Bridgeman. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
