He was predeceased by: his parents, William Polo and Bessie Parker Harwell. He is survived by: his wife Sara; his daughter Angela (Todd); his granddaughter Madison Gates; his pet Luna; his sister-in-law Felicia Sisk; his extended family, Sharon and Richard Mills; and his caregivers, Sara Tronco, Sandra Munoz, Felicia King, Louise Coleman and Gordon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
