James Eric Coates Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Rogers Coates (Sarah Louise Ballard Coates) and N. C.. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Blackmon Coates; his daughter Jennifer Coates Drayer (Robert); his brother William Douglas Coates (Linda); his grandchildren, Emmalyne Drayer and Alexa Drayer; and his nieces, Amy Coates Hite (David) and Pamela Coates.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Home (210 E Hilton St, Kershaw, SC 29067). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
