We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2024, James Maurice Hatchell Sr. of Lexington, South Carolina, born in Cheraw, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Hatchell (Buster) and Carrie Williams Hatchell; his siblings, Carolyn Seals and Colonel A. E. Hatchell, Jr. (Chuck); and his former life partner Pauline Cannarella of Sumter.

He is survived by : his wife Christine Ann Joseph Hatchell; his children, James Hatchell (Wooly), John Matthew Hatchell (Leslie) of York, SC and Jennifer Minter of Columbia, S. C.; and his grandchildren, Samantha Minter and Liam Minter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Olive Gospel Mission or Agape Care South Carolina.
